Signature moves

  • archive-push

Every still and every shot pushes slowly, never stops.

  • typewriter-stamp

Date and place labels type on one character at a time with a block caret blinking at 2 Hz.

  • lower-third-in

Accent bar grows down, name wipes from the left, role follows, hairline draws under.

  • print-lay

Archival prints are laid onto the table one by one, settling from a 6° skew.

  • soft-fade

Titles and quotes fade up from a 4px blur — no slide.

  • archive-count

Numbers count up in light serif lining numerals.

  • film-life

Grain, gate weave, flicker and rare dust never stop, even on black.

Sound

Sparse and sincere: felt piano, bowed strings, a little room tone; or ambient drones built from field recordings. No drums until the final third, if ever.

Voice

Interview audio first; narration is calm, close-mic, 130–145 wpm, conversational, with real pauses left in. Never an announcer.
