Signature moves
step-drop
Titles fall from above the frame and land with two shrinking bounces, all in hard steps.
char-type
Text appears one character per frame like a ROM text box.
press-blink
PRESS START / INSERT COIN blink.
sprite-cycle
Walk / idle animation by toggling 2–4 frame layers.
score-roll
Zero-padded 6-digit score counts up; the HUD score mirrors every on-screen gain.
pixel-wipe
A staircase-edged slab (surface fill, hero+coin leading cells) crosses the frame; the cut happens while it covers.
screen-shake
One shake when a hero element lands. World layer only; HUD stays still.
hop
Sprite jump arc for celebrations.
Sound
Original chiptune: 2 square-wave leads, triangle bass, noise-channel drums. Bright major key, one key change into the end card. No samples of existing game music.
Voice
Arcade-announcer energy: short, loud, punchy lines (≤ 5 words), ≈ 160 wpm, slight bit-crush (8–12 bit) and a hard limiter. Or no VO — let text boxes talk.
